Having only very recently been involved with fundraising activities and being introduced to Spirit of Sport, I have found the range of items available to be extremely varied and able to cater for a wide range of audiences. The ability to return items that do not reach their reserve, therefore preventing lots from having to be sold at a lesser amount and reducing your overall profit, is very beneficial. I have always found the staff to be extremely helpful and willing to assist with any queries you have. I thought I’d drop you a line to say how what a great fundraising evening we had on June 2nd in aid of the Down’s Syndrome Association. The auction surpassed my all my expectations. All the items were presented really well and sold without any difficulty at all. In fact one item, a Pele framed presentation, went for any incredible £3,200! We didn’t need it - you said we wouldn’t - but it was comforting to have Spirit of Sport’s sale or return policy as an assurance. Each year more than 35,000 people are diagnosed with bowel cancer, the disease from which Bobby died in 1993. It is the second highest cause of cancer death in the UK only after lung cancer. Last year, £300 million was spent on cancer research in the UK. Of this £300 million, Cancer Research spent £220 million.
