(Approx 30 signatures.)
The colours are identical to those carried by Kettledrum when winning the 1861 Derby. Kettledrum was bred near Burnley, close to the particular NSPCC branch who are selling these silks.
The autographs were collected by Lady Mary Towneley of Dyneley, a descendant of Colonel Charles Towneley who owned Kettledrum.
The silks were intended to be sold at a fund raising event in 1992 which had to be cancelled due to a bereavement in the organiser's family. The silks have been in storage ever since.
The Silks are presented in excellent condition considering they are 15 years old and all the signatures are neat, clear and ledgible. Framing for this item can be arranged and please see our framing section for options and pricing.
A truly rare and one off item of Horse Racing memorabilia.
