This superb item of Wigan football memorabilia is the actual match ball and ‘blood shirt’ from the 2006 Carling Cup Final.

This short sleeved shirt is inscribed:Carling Cup Final 2006, Millennium Stadium, Wigan Athletic v Manchester United.

The shirt is sold together with one of the official match balls, a white & gold Mitre inscribed:Carling Cup Final 2006, Millennium Stadium, 26TH Febuary 2006

Wigan Athletic reached the first major final in their history but were defeated 4-0 by Manchester United.

ProvenanceAcquired from a member of the Wigan staff.

This item is being sold on behalf of a private collector. It has been authenticated by an industry expert and is supplied with a certificate.
