Spirit of Sport offer an insurance approved valuation and authentication service at a flat fee.
On receipt of the item our in-house expert will review the piece and if necessary use a third party industry expert to verify their findings.

You will receive a signed one page report (3 copies) that contains an item description with image, condition, item history (if known), when inspected and general condition. There is a section commenting on the authenticity of the item and a valuation that is suitable for insurance purposes. This value will wherever possible be based on recent sales of similar examples.

In some cases where we feel the item is out of our field of expertise we will refer you to another company. Therefore prior to purchasing this item, please email valuation@spiritofsport.co.uk. If we are able to value your item we will email you with instructions on where to send your item. In some cases this can be done by emailing high quality images.

Whilst in an ideal world we would like to offer a free service and reply to each enquiry individually, this is simply not practical as each item must be referred to a product specialist to obtain an accurate valuation. We therefore are unable to provide free valuations by email or phone. In the case of larger items, an additional return postage fee may be charged.
