Sir Don Bradman - 1934 – Invitation signed by Bradman and 10 others - Framed

This rare, one-off item of signed Australian Cricket memorabilia celebrates the greatest cricketer of all time, Sir Donald Bradman. It contains a stunning photo of the Don playing his trademark stroke. Underneath is an original Invitation to attend The Golden Ivy at the London Coliseum for Ludwig Berger’s, ‘The Golden Toy’, on Friday April 27th 1934, which is signed on the reverse by Bradman and some of the 1934 Australian touring team plus actors from the show. Also included is the original programme for the event that lists all the actors etc and is a fascinating read! The programme is a really nice addition and is presented in very good condition bearing in minds its age. There are also some handwritten lists from the person that presumably obtained the autographs. The collection has recently been framed in a stunning black surround with dual inset mounts, measuring in at a large and impressive 73cm by 42cm. Cast members to have signed; Dame Peggy Ashcroft, DBE (1907 – 1991), Lupino Lane (1892 – 1959), Ion Swinley (1891 - 1937), Wendy Toye, CBE, (1917 – 2010) Also included, and fixed to the rear of the frame, is the programme from the event that list all the artists, together with some personal notes on separate pieces of paper. Part of a large private collection, this is a magnificent one-off item of Sir Donald Bradman signed memorabilia.
