This extremely rare and highly collectable item of memorabilia is Paul Thorburn’s number 15 shirt from the match against the All Blacks at the Cardiff Arms Park, 4th November 1989.

Thorburn was considered one of the great Welsh Full-backs winning 37 caps and in this match scored all of Wales points in the 34-9 defeat.

The shirt is part of a large private collection from a gentleman who worked with both the Wales and England Unions during the 80’s and 90’s, who is now selling the collection to raise money for his local Rugby Club. It is therefore sold with absolute provenance.

The shirt is sold with a number of other items relating to the All Blacks tour, including a empty bottle of wine served at the after match dinner, the dinner programme signed by 4 and an official invite to the dinner.

The shirt is presented in very good condition with all embroidery and numbering intact.

Match worn shirts from this era rarely come to the market, particularly from a legend such as Paul Thorburn.
