The rare and highly collectable item of signed boxing memorabilia is a hard back book titled The Birth of a Legend, Miami 1961-1964 that is personally signed to the inside cover by the great man himself. This hard back book contains more than 80 photographs, by Flip Schulke. Schulkes photographs show technical expertise and beauty unmatched in ordinary sports photography, and his commentary give a penetrating insight into Alis character. The signature was obtained by a private collector who worked at Heathrow Airport and who was tasked with looking after Ali through the Airport. To support this Alis baggage tag, details of his flight and date to Australia on the 14th of January 2001 are included with the book.
