Martyn Williams - Match worn No. 7 shirt v England 2002
Item Number: 1839
Martyn Elwyn Williams, the Cardiff Blues Captain led his country for the first time against Scotland at Murrayfield in the Six Nations of 2003 and made four appearances for the Lions on their 2001 tour of Australia and won his 50th cap in the 2005 Six Nations when he lined up against England. His two quick-fire tries in France kick-started the Welsh comeback and is one of the few Welsh forwards to have scored points with his boot - a drop goal against Tonga. His performances in the 2005 Six Nations earned him the man-of-the-tournament title and better yet, a place on the Lions tour. This exceptional item is Martyns match worn shirt from the game against England in 2002. The shirt carries all the usual multi-language embroidery that you only get on player shirts, including the match details, player name and number of caps. It is numbered 7 on the back and presented in excellent condition. Size 48 chest but would fit a smaller size chest. The shirt is supplied with an original signed letter from Martyn who is also happy to sign the shirt with or without a dedication, such as 'To Paul, best wishes...' Please note that the timescale for shirt signing is subject to player availability. A truly rare and highly collectable item from a player who is regarded as one of the best in the world, Martyn Williams.
