The rare and highly collectable item of signed memorabilia is a hard back book titled ‘Life with Googie’, which is personally signed by late actor John McCallum CBE (1918 – 2010) and Googie Withers plus two unknown signatures. "Life With Googie" is a lovely read if you love theatre, films, acting, and the good old days of the 1930’s, 40’s, 50’s, and 60’s. With a David-Niven flair, McCallum recounts his marriage and the changes theatre and films have undergone over the 50 years ending in 1978. Their travels through Great Britain, Australia, and the U.S., their acting gigs together and separately, are delightful. This book was part of a private collection and is presented in good condition and contains 266 pages and was published in 1979. A fascinating book and a rare piece of memorabilia and history.
