This rare and collectable item of memorabilia is a cricket bat signed by the 1950-51 England and Australian Ashes teams. The England team under Freddie Brown played 25 games on its tour of Australia, including 5 Tests, 11 other First Class matches and 9 minor games. The bat is a Gradidge bat signed in black ink with 16 England signatures including; J.J. Warr, Wright, R.Tattersall, D.B Close, A.V Bedser, T.E. Bailey, A.J.W Macintyre, J.G. Dewes, Compton, (vc) F.R. Brown (c), W.G.A. Parkhouse, Evans, Washbrooke, D.S. Sheppard, R.T. Simpson and L.Hutton. It has also been signed by 12 of the Australian team including; K.R. Miller, G.B. Hole, R.N. Harvey, A.R. Morris (vc) K.A. Archer, R.R. Lindwall, S.J.E. Loxton, D. Tallon, W.A. Johnston, J.B. Iverson, J.A.R. Moroney and A.L. Hassett (c). Bearing in mind the age of the bat it is presented in good condition with many signatures from legends of the game. The bat is a highly collectable item of one-off signed Cricket and Ashes Memorabilia.
