Barry Sheene - Personal Mickey Mouse Telephone

This extremely rare, one-off item of Barry Sheene memorabilia is the actual ‘Mickey Mouse’ telephone that he used at his home, The Manor House, Charlwood. The phone was produced by the American Telecommunications Corporation, California and was used at by the great man for some years. It was obtained by a Director of Spirit of Sport some years ago (who is a big Sheene fan) from someone who was close to Barry. The phone is presented in excellent condition and has not been used since it purchase. It was tested on a (current) BT phone line at time of purchase and was fully operational. It is sold with an A4 framed photo of Barry using the phone in his study. Sheene is without doubt the most charismatic and liked British motorcycle rider in history. During his illustrious career Barry endured a series of high-speed crashes and still won back-to-back world championships in 1976 and 1977. The phone alone is considered highly collectable and coupled with the history makes this a rare opportunity to obtain a personal possession of Barry’s with full provenance.
