Alessandro Troncon Italy No. 9 match worn shirt v England 2005
Item Number: 1927
England overran Italy in the first half of this Six Nations international but in the second half Italy looked far more assured and were rewarded for a sustained period of possession with a try for veteran scrum-half Alessandro Troncon after he brushed aside Graham Rowntree at the side of a ruck. This unique and rare item is the actual dry-fit shirt Troncon wore in the match.
The shirt is embroidered with the Italian crest and sponsor logos and carries the extra rubberised stipple coating over the front of the shirt that only appears on player shirts. It is also the new style Italian shirt. Size Large 42/44 Harry Ellis swapped his spare shirt with Troncon at the end of the game and the buyer will receive a personalised letter from Harry confirming authenticity together with the usual Spirit of Sport Certificate of Authenticity. Italy shirts rarely become available so this is a great opportunity to obtain a super item of Italian rugby memorabilia. Please note, monies raised from the sale of these items will be donated to Harrys favoured charity.
