We acknowledge that authenticity is uppermost when purchasing sporting memorabilia and we pride ourselves on the quality of goods and service provided. In short we will do our utmost to ensure that you, the customer, are entirely happy with your purchase.

YOUR GUARANTEE - A number of steps are followed to ensure that the customer receives an authentic item of memorabilia

1. Authentication – All items are checked by an industry expert and wherever possible against known examples held on record
2. Certificate of Authenticity - Every signed item is supplied with a distinctive and unique numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
3. Spirit of Sport Hologram Seal – Is heat sealed on each Certificate
4. Item history – Is listed on each certificate
5. Registered keeper – Each item is uniquely registered against one individual only and this is stated on the certificate. You enter the registered owner of the item during the ordering process. If you are purchasing for a gift, then please enter their name.
6. This certificate is the consumers’ unconditional customer guarantee that the item is supplied as a genuine item of memorabilia
7. In some cases a signing photo will also be supplied with the item. (stated on each product listing

Important Information - Spirit of Sport only guarantee items that have an original Certificate. (as the example above). If you have received an item of memorabilia from a third party that you believe originates from Spirit of Sport, but were not supplied with a certificate, please contact us. If your certificate appears to be a copy, or has been tampered with in some way, again please make contact immediately.

Re-registering a Certificate - The item is assigned to the 'Registered Keeper'. In the event it is passed on to a new owner, the new registered keeper should complete the section at the bottom of the Certificate and return it to Spirit of Sport for re-issue. Spirit of Sport will only issue a new certificate on receipt of the original.

Valuation and Authentication – We are unable to issue certificates for items not supplied by Spirit of Sport, however we do offer a comprehensive valuation and authentication service that is suitable for insurance purposes. Click here for further information.
