Wolverhampton Wanderers were founded as St. Luke’s in 1877 by John Bayton and John Brodie after a group of pupils were presented with a football by their headmaster.

Two years later they merged with The Wanderers, a local cricket and football club, to form Wolverhampton Wanderers. They are now more commonly known as ‘Wolves’.
